What is Evaluation?

Evaluation involves exploring how users interact with a product by asking them to complete indicative tasks using the product and explaining their thought processes as they do so. Evaluation techniques can be used to identify opportunities for improvements in the case of an impending redesign or validate the decisions made by designers / developers prior to release. It is possible to evaluate any product with an interface from a website / mobile app to a computer game or even a washing machine!
